The Kõrvemaa centre near Tallinn is the ideal place to come for an active, screen-free break — you can ski, hike, enjoy the sauna, go tubing, ice skate, sledge, and why not grill something delicious over an open fire.
Bring the kids to nature to move and ski during the school break — Kõrvemaa has the best conditions!
During the school break (Mon–Fri), the sauna is open from 12:00–18:00 (€5 per person) — especially lovely after skiing or hiking. The ice hole is also open.
The café menu features pancakes and blueberry kissel.
For skiing, there are trails of various lengths — 1.5 km, 2 km, 3 km, 5 km, 19 km and 24 km.
For hiking or kick-sledding, there is a maintained 4 km trail where children can search for checkpoints in the forest and solve riddles. Ask for the adventure game trail map at the Kõrvemaa café. Bring the completed map back to the café after your hike and exchange it for a sweet surprise. The winter adventure trail is FREE for everyone.
The winter hiking trail can also be completed with kick-sleds, which can be rented on-site.
The free ice skating rink on Kõrvemaa pond is open. You can also rent ski equipment and hiking skates.
The centre also has a sledding and tubing hill.
After a snowy forest adventure, you can spend time pleasantly at the Kõrvemaa grill house, where a fireplace and firewood are ready and waiting. The grill house also has an outdoor fire pit.
Making a bonfire and grilling sausages together with your group in winter is something kids will certainly love! The grill house rental price for up to three hours is €100.
Bring your own picnic basket or conveniently order the Sausage Package from the Kõrvemaa café, which includes sausages and marshmallows for grilling, and a thermos of raspberry-mint tea. The price per person is €7.
